The Definition of Awesome:
The Placerita JHS MUSIC Program!
It is my belief that music is an important part of a student's school experience. Musical events and activities have been planned! Your enthusiastic participation and hard work will contribute to their success. By participating in music, students develop skills in self-discipline and group cooperation, as well as nurturing self- expression and creative instincts.
I grew up in an environment surrounded by music. In all phases of my life, through elementary, junior high, high school and college, in finding my first job and in settling on a career, music has opened doors, created opportunities and taken me to situations and people that I would otherwise never have had the chance to experience or know. These experiences and relationships have been some of the most cherished in my professional career.
I teach to share the beauty and excitement of every musical composition . My goal as a music educator is to inspire my students to reach their full potential in music making and in life; to experience the thrill of excellence and accomplishment.
I know that I will play the piano for the rest of my life.
MUSIC means a lifetime of JOY!
